The SteadiStand is a lightweight professional Steadicam® stand engineered for demanding shoots, where fast setup, rigidity and versatility define the workflow. Its integrated hill leg levels the stand precisely on uneven terrain, and it is built to last through the longest production days.
| Height | 92–220 cm (36–86.6 in) |
| Footprint | 85 cm (33.5 in) |
| Max load | over 30 kg (66 lbs) |
| Weight | 5.8 kg |
| Material | 6061-T6 aluminium |
All three Steadicam® stands share the same 6061-T6 aluminium frame, the same 92–220 cm (36–86.6 in) working height, the same 85 cm footprint and the same 28 cm low base. What separates them sits on top.
If you work on location — on grass, gravel or a slope — the hill leg is the part you will miss without it. If you dock and undock a Steadicam® rig all day, the Pro's integrated Moses pole saves you carrying a separate one.
What does the hill leg actually do?
It is the third leg, adjusted by foot. On a slope or on uneven ground you level the stand without bending down and without moving the other two legs — the difference between a stand that works on location and one that only works in a studio.
Lite or SteadiStand?
The SteadiStand Lite is 1.4 kg lighter and rated to 25 kg; this one is rated over 30 kg and has the hill leg. If you shoot outside, take this one.
SteadiStand or Pro?
Same load rating, same frame. The SteadiStand Pro adds the integrated Moses pole (90–165 cm) and the quick-release system, for 700 g more.
