The SteadiStand Pro is our flagship Steadicam® stand, combining extreme stability and payload capacity with a light design and a fast quick-release workflow. With an integrated Moses pole and a foot-operated hill leg, it is built for the heaviest rigs.
| Height | 92–220 cm (36–86.6 in) |
| Footprint | 85 cm (33.5 in) |
| Max load | over 30 kg (66 lbs) |
| Weight | 6.5 kg |
| Material | 6061-T6 aluminium |
All three Steadicam® stands share the same 6061-T6 aluminium frame, the same 92–220 cm (36–86.6 in) working height, the same 85 cm footprint and the same 28 cm low base. What separates them sits on top.
If you work on location — on grass, gravel or a slope — the hill leg is the part you will miss without it. If you dock and undock a Steadicam® rig all day, the Pro's integrated Moses pole saves you carrying a separate one.
Why an integrated Moses pole?
Because it is always there. A separate pole like the SteadiPole has to be carried, set down and picked up again; the Pro's extends from the stand itself, 90 to 165 cm, and goes back in when you are done.
Is it worth the step up from the SteadiStand?
Both are rated over 30 kg and share the frame. The Pro adds the integrated Moses pole and the modular quick-release system for 700 g. If you dock and undock all day, that is the difference.
What does the quick-release system change?
Parts come off and go back on without tools, and the system is built to take later additions rather than being replaced.
How heavy is it to carry?
6.5 kg — the heaviest of the three, and still light for a stand rated over 30 kg. The SteadiStand Bag carries it with its accessories.
