Lite, SteadiStand or Pro?

All three Steadicam® stands share the same 6061-T6 aluminium frame, the same 92–220 cm (36–86.6 in) working height, the same 85 cm footprint and the same 28 cm low base. What separates them sits on top.

  • SteadiStand Lite — 4.4 kg, rated to 25 kg (55 lbs). No hill leg, no Moses pole. For studio and OB work, where the floor is flat and every kilo you carry matters.
  • SteadiStand — 5.8 kg, rated over 30 kg (66 lbs), with a foot-operated hill leg that levels the stand on uneven ground.
  • SteadiStand Pro — 6.5 kg, rated over 30 kg, hill leg plus an integrated Moses pole extending 90–165 cm (37″–69″).

If you work on location — on grass, gravel or a slope — the hill leg is the part you will miss without it. If you dock and undock a Steadicam® rig all day, the Pro's integrated Moses pole saves you carrying a separate one.

What fits the SteadiStand Lite

  • 7-inch Wheels — airless, quick-release, turns the stand into a rolling platform in seconds. 4.4 kg for the full set, made in Germany.
  • SteadiStand Tray — powder-coated aluminium platform for tools, batteries and monitors, rated to 10 kg (22 lbs).
  • SteadiStand Bag — padded transport bag with shoulder strap and handles, sized for the stand and its accessories.
  • SteadiPole — the separate telescopic Moses pole, 1.5 kg including its carrying strap, for when low stand weight matters more than an integrated pole.

Questions operators ask

Can I add a Moses pole to the Lite later?
Not an integrated one — that is what the SteadiStand Pro is built for. You can carry the separate SteadiPole instead; at 1.5 kg including the strap it stays on your shoulder between setups.

Will it hold my rig?
The Lite is rated to 25 kg (55 lbs). Above that, take the SteadiStand or the SteadiStand Pro, both rated over 30 kg (66 lbs).

Does it work on uneven ground?
It has no hill leg. On grass, gravel or a slope the SteadiStand and the SteadiStand Pro level out with a foot-operated leg — the Lite is built for flat studio and OB floors.

Why is it the lightest?
Because the hill leg and the Moses pole are left off. That is the whole design: 4.4 kg instead of 5.8 or 6.5, for crews who carry the stand more often than they level it.
